SEWARD ANGEL TREE PROGRAM

For over 30 years, the Seward Volunteer Fire Department (SVFD) and the good people of Seward have been providing local kids and families with gifts to put under the Christmas tree through the Seward Angel Tree Program. In 2023, almost 45 families in need received toys, diapers, warm clothing, and household items through the program, which is almost completely fueled by generous donations from Seward and Moose Pass residents like YOU. With your help, we can ensure our friends and neighbors have everything they need for years.

This program helps provide Christmas for the children and elders here in Seward. Once a child or elder has been registered or nominated and accepted as an Angel, their Christmas wish list will be shared in the community for donors to purchase new clothing and toy gifts. No candy or food items, please.

The amount of money spent on the gifts purchased depends on how many gifts you would like to give. Some people get two or three items; others get six or seven. The average cost is around $60-$100.  No matter how many gifts you donate, just know that you'll help to ensure that at least one child doesn't go without something on Christmas.

Please bring unwrapped gifts to the Seward Fire Department before our Community Gift Wrapping Event. Simply attach the Angel Tree Gift Tag with your gift so that we can be sure it is delivered to the Correct Angel.

If you would like more information on how to register or nominate a family or adopt a family to provide gifts to please contact us.

Online Registration opens in mid-September

Registration closes the week before Thanksgiving in November
